GAMBLING: Is it really bad?

Most of us think that gambling is really bad, but did you ever ask yourself if you have gone through it? I understand why some people thinks that it is bad, its because of  our religion. That being greedy is really bad. 

I think that some people engaged themselves in gambling it's because they just want to have more money for them to support their daily needs. Or maybe they are lacked of some money to help their family who are suffering in a disease. And other encounter financial problems.

I have read an article about gambling is bad it is written by Kerby Anderson entitled Gambling. He mentioned in his article that "Even though the Bible does not directly address gambling, we can derive a number of principles from Scripture. First, notice the contrast between the Bible and gambling. The Bible emphasizes the sovereignty of God (Matt. 10:29-30), while gambling is based upon chance. The Bible admonishes us to work creatively and for the benefit of others (Eph. 4:28), while gambling fosters a "something for nothing" attitude. The Bible condemns materialism (Matt. 6:24 25), while gambling promotes it." 

 In the article of Kerby Anderson, I can say that gambling is not based upon chance, because you're the one who make your decisions or strategies in playing. And a lot of people wants to have more money, so when they saw an opportunity to gain more money they will grab it, and in gambling it's easy for you to win, if you know how to play it.

In my own point of view I can say that gambling is bad, in the sense that you abused it, and you exert all your time in gambling. But there are some things to be consider that this is not that bad. First, is just when you do it to spent your free time. Second, when you just do it for fun. And lastly, not to the extent that you make it as a habit.
