We all know that having a business involving gambling is quite difficult. Because you will take a lot of risks with this kind of business. And not all of the people in the society can accept this kind of business, especially those in religious groups.
But did you ever think, that having this kind of business can increase the economy of a country? While I was surfing the net I came across an article entitled Gambling in the Philippines that talks about the benefits of having this kind of business.
The author gives rise to the Gambling Society, because he stated that "Few people immediately gravitate towards the Philippines as one of
the best places in the world to find an exciting game of blackjack or a
high-stakes poker table. And yet, it is exactly this image of
exclusivity and indulgence that the Philippines would like to promote,
which is why they’ve begun a targeted campaign to build casinos and
resorts throughout the islands that will bring in the crowd that
currently flocks to other hubs of gambling in Asia." As a business minded person, the author has a nice point of view, because the Philippines has a lots of tourist spots, and they can use it by putting up a business involving gambling. So that the tourists and even Filipinos can find a way to relax at the same time to have fun in a Casino.
And we all know that some of us are thinking to engage in Gambling, to try our luck. And if it works, we will try again. And the business people will take advantage with this kind of mindset of the people. They can put a Casino near the Tourist spots so that they can also catch the attention of the Tourists.
The Government see it in a positive way, but did they even considered the point of view of those who are in religious sects? Maybe this kind of business may put again the collision of Government and Religion. But if this can contribute to the economy of the Philippines I think, the religion sects should agree with this business.

HW1: Background of Survey
After weeks of researching about Gambling, I learned different things about gambling. Like the different types of gamblers, the good and bad effect of it. And why some people look at it as a bad habit. But there are some questions on my mind that haven't answered yet.
To be able to come-up with my research paper I need to survey some questions to know the different opinions of other people. And I prepare some survey questions to be answered.
My survey would be answer by different kind of person in the society, it is good to know their age and gender.Next I would like to ask them what is their stand in gambling, if they are pro or anti. And then, if they are Gamblers or if they have friends who are engaged in gambling addiction and how many of them. I would also want to know if they believed that there's a cheat in gambling. And if they have plans to stop from being Compulsive Gamblers. I also need to know what are the different games in Gambling, and what particular game they are addicted to. From being a Compulsive Gambler, I would also want to know if they encountered some problems caused by Gambling, and what are those problems. And I would like them to give some advice or suggestion to the Compulsive Gamblers. And Lastly, I would like to know if they think that Filipinos are more prone to Gambling Addiction rather than other nationality, and why do they think if they're answer is yes or no.
This survey will be answer by different people in the society, to know their stand in Gambling, And to know if majority of them are male or female. Also to know their age. If this survey will be given to them, I think most of their answers would be the same. And I think that most of them will have a lot of answer in the question, What are the different Gambling event/games here in the Philippines?
